All Proceeds Benefit the Catie Hoch Foundation
Saratoga Springs, NY— 05/24/2023 — Today, The Catie Hoch Foundation opened on-line registration for the,15th Annual Teeing Off on Cancer mixed Golf Event to be held on September 9, 2023, at McGregor links Country Club in Wilton New York. The popular event is predicted to sell out again early this year, so supporters are urged to register early. Event organizers are always looking to add individual and corporate sponsors.
Teeing Off on Cancer has raised over 1 million dollars to date and 100% of the proceeds go directly to families with children diagnosed with cancer. Catie Hoch was a vibrant and energetic 10-year-old girl from Clifton Park, NY who died from Neuroblastoma 23 years ago this May. Incredibly, as her death became inevitable, Catie made her parents promise that they would find ways to “give kids a break from cancer.” The Catie Hoch Foundation has kept that promise.
“Fundraising can be exhausting. There have been many times over the past 23 years that I thought - maybe I should stop,” said Catie’s mother and Foundation President Gina Peca. “but then Patrick Swan contacted me to join forces with Teeing off on Cancer. He had been running the tournament for several years. Working together has been a joy.”
Over the years, Swan, an area youth sports coach and organizer, has enlisted his family, friends and business connections to create an event that feels more like a reunion than a golf outing. “I look forward to this every year. For me, it is a day where I get to celebrate my family, childhood friends, friends from Niagara University, business associates and the players and coaches I have met coaching over the past 30 years.” Swan shared. “To be able to do that, while we raise money and awareness for a locally established but globally impactful charity is just perfect.”

The Catie Hoch Foundation
The Catie Hoch Foundation is an all-volunteer organization where every dollar delivers fun for kids and funds for a cure. A child’s cancer diagnosis is devastating and the strains on the family are enormous – emotional, physical and financial. We strive to help alleviate some of those burdens because we know first-hand what these families are going through.
